Police are investigating a wave of burglaries last week that occurred within a couple of blocks of one another and are believed to be related.
The six incidents occurred at four homes, the St. Charles Borromeo School and a dry cleaner, police said Monday.
Computer equipment of undetermined value was stolen from a kindergarten class at St. Charles Borromeo on Branch Pike between Thursday night and Friday morning. Police did not know how entry was gained.
A home in the 2500 block of St. Charles Place was entered through a read window between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Friday. A video game system and jewelry of undetermined value were taken.
A large stone was thrown through a read window and activated an alert at a home in the 700 block of Pomona Road at 6 p.m. Friday. No damage estimate was given. Nothing was reported stolen.
A rear window was broken out and a container of change stolen from a home in the 2500 block of Branch Pike between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. Friday. Neither a damage estimate nor the amount of money taken was provided.
At 1:30 p.m. Saturday, neighbors discovered a rear door and window open in the 2400 block of St. Charles Place. Police did not know if anything was taken.
A large rock was thrown through a front plate glass window at a dry cleaner in the 200 block of Route 130 at 11:30 p.m. Saturday. About $80 in cash was stolen.
Residents of the Sherwood, Ivystone and St. Charles Place developments are urged to notify police if they see any suspicious activity.
Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to contact township police at 856-829-6667, ext. 74.
My notes: Too bad I didn't know about this on Sunday when I saw that suspicious person walking through the neighborhood yards, obviously avoiding the street. And the car parked in front of the house on Wednesday evening. That's why we have a reverse 911 system in Cinnaminson.
