Girl and brother help in arrest in Cinnaminson

Another Cinnaminson Burglary attempt--this time with a 12-year-old girl home alone. Parents, tell your kids not to answer the door to strangers, and if one does knock, take the same actions this girl did. Call the police and your parents, and lock yourself in a safe room.

This report from the Burlington County Times of Friday, January 29, 2010

CINNAMINSON---A 12-year-old girl was home alone Wednesday evening when a township man tried to break into her house on Derby Drive, police said Thursday.

Sean A. Pavlichko, 23, of Fernwood Place, was charged with burglary and attempted burglary after he attempted to enter the house about 5 p.m. The girl told investigators he rang the doorbell and knocked, then attempted to open a read sliding glass door. After failing to open the door, Pavlichko forced open a shed in the rear yard, police said.

The girl locked herself in a bathroom and contacted family members and police.

Pavlichko climbed a fence and fled after hearing the girl's brother arrive home. The brother chased him through several yards and was able to detain him until police arrived.

Pavlichko was placed in Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly on $10,000 bail.
